The club is based around the concept of "Service above Self", and members devote their time to fund-raising
for local charities, assisting others to raise funds, and providing services to the community at large.

Over the last 16 years (at least) we've hosted an annual carol singing in Hitchin Marketplace, supported by the Town Band and St.Mary's Church Choir. This has proved a very popular event,
and now has the added attraction of a lantern parade just before the carol singing.
All the proceeds from generous public donations go to the support of disadvantaged children around the town.
